Every day, we all “strive” to bring you the finest and freshest products directly from the Greek nature, as fast as we possibly can. We are joined in this effort by more than 1,300 milk producers from all over Greece, whom we regard as partners and valuable allies.
Every day, a farmer milks his cow. Every day, someone from DELTA stops by the farm and receives the fresh milk of the day. Every day is the beginning of another fresh course for milk, so it can reach your glass as fast as possible, and full of life.
The GAIA Project was put into action in collaboration with the Agricultural University of Athens, in an effort of our company to support Greek producers. This programme researches the opportunities for alternative farming practices for producing Greek animal feed and for more efficient crop yields. The expertise established through GAIA, combined with the education of producers, lays the groundwork for the sustainable development of the agricultural sector. Fresh Milk Producers
“We wake up every day at 5:30 a.m. All 50 of our cows must be milked by 8:00 a.m. That’s when DELTA’s truck comes by to pick up the milk. As you can see, there are no holidays and Sundays for us. Freshness doesn’t take a holiday! This may sound tiresome, but just knowing that this fresh milk – our milk – will reach a Greek table, motivates us to carry on with our work. You can’t do this job unless you love it. Our livestock is part of our family. I make sure that they eat the very best Greek nature can provide. Fresh air, sunshine, alfalfa and our own daily care.”
